Accessibility

Staffed is used by staff and volunteers of every age and ability, on whatever phone or computer they have. We build it to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

What that means in practice

• Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
• Pages work with screen readers: buttons, links and form fields are labelled, and status messages are announced.
• Text and controls meet AA color contrast, and status is never shown by color alone.
• Layouts adapt from small phones to large screens and respect larger text settings.
• Motion is reduced when your device asks for it.

Known limits

We test with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox, and with VoiceOver and NVDA. If something gets in your way, we want to know.
